Artist David Breuer-Weil Memorializes October 7 Victims Through His Art

Renowned artist David Breuer-Weil is channeling the emotional impact of the October 7 attacks into his artwork, using his creative talents to honor the memory of the victims.

“We’re living in an age of insanity,” Breuer-Weil reflected. “It’s difficult to have rational conversations about the events we’re witnessing, but art serves as a powerful medium to convey these complex emotions and truths.”

In response to the tragic events, Breuer-Weil has been commissioned by the Jewish National Fund (JNF) to design a certificate for a commemorative forest the charity is establishing in southern Israel. The forest, situated near Ashkelon, just eight miles from the Gaza border, will consist of over 1,200 trees—each representing a life lost in the attacks.

Donors contributing a minimum of £100 to the project will receive a copy of Breuer-Weil’s specially designed certificate, a symbol of remembrance and resilience. The initiative aims to create a lasting tribute to those who perished, while also reflecting the enduring strength of the community in the face of tragedy.
