On September 18, Dr. Edward Belbruno, a mathematics professor from YU, will have his paintings featured in an art exhibition at the European Space Agency (ESA) headquarters in Paris. This marks the first time ESA has hosted an art exhibition at both of its major centers, following a previous display of Dr. Belbruno’s work at the ESA Operations Center (ESOC) in Germany.
Dr. Belbruno’s artwork was initially showcased at ESOC Germany in late 2023, followed by a public gallery exhibition at LAB3 in Darmstadt. The Paris exhibition represents the final leg of a successful European tour for Dr. Belbruno’s paintings. The opening event will be attended by ESA Director General Dr. Josef Aschbacher, ESA Operations Director Rolf Densing, and other ESA personnel and invited guests.
The exhibition in Paris will continue until early 2025 and features a selection of 12 paintings by Dr. Belbruno. Known for his expertise in mathematics and space trajectory plotting, Dr. Belbruno brings the same precision and creativity to his painting, blending his scientific and artistic talents.
