Mary Sneed, a seasoned painter, showcased her work for the first time in a historic church she acquired during the 11th annual Southwest Iowa Art Tour.
Echo Backes, a newcomer to Malvern, experienced the art tour for the first time this year. “If you paint at all, you know the countless hours that go into each piece, and they are truly beautiful. The range of what she’s painting is especially impressive,” Backes remarked.
Originally from Western Nebraska, Backes noted that the Midwest often lacks recognition for its inherent beauty.
