London, August 13, 2024 — Renowned street artist Banksy has unveiled the eighth piece in his animal-themed mural series, now prominently displayed in southeast London.
On August 12, Banksy showcased the new work on Instagram. The mural depicts a rhinoceros poised atop an old silver Nissan, with a traffic cone on the vehicle’s hood creatively fashioned to resemble the animal’s horn.
This latest addition joins a series of previous artworks by the elusive artist, which have featured a variety of animals including monkeys, elephants, and piranhas. The new mural is located on the side of a building on Westmoor Street.
According to Sky News, the artwork was discovered by workers arriving at the site, adding to the excitement surrounding Banksy’s recent spree of public art. Since August 5, when Banksy revealed a mural of a goat perched atop a building pillar, new pieces have appeared daily, sparking widespread public interest and engagement.
