Jensen, an avid outdoorsman and dedicated conservationist, draws inspiration from his extensive fieldwork and personal observations of wildlife. His commitment to accurately portraying animals and their natural habitats is evident in works such as “Elk Meadon.” Jensen’s approach emphasizes the importance of understanding both the subject and its environment, which he considers essential to the creative process.
“Since my youth on my family’s ranch in Southern Idaho, my connection to the Western landscape and wildlife has been profound,” Jensen stated. “Exploring nature’s beauty and caring for animals has deeply influenced my art. Through my paintings, I aim to capture and convey the scenes and emotions stored in my memory. My daily studio work, with the exception of the Sabbath, is both a privilege and a reflection of my deep passion for wildlife and the natural world.”
Jensen’s dedication to conservation and habitat management further underscores his commitment to preserving the wilderness that inspires his art. The exhibit promises to offer a rich visual experience celebrating the intersection of Western heritage and wildlife artistry.
