The Art of Banksy Exhibition Set to Illuminate Tākina

Wellington, New Zealand – The acclaimed exhibition, The Art of Banksy, will make its highly anticipated debut at Tākina, Wellington’s newest convention and exhibition center, starting November 28, 2024. Following a successful run in London, where it captivated over 1.5 million visitors, this blockbuster show will remain in Wellington until January 20, 2025.

The Art of Banksy features an extensive collection of the enigmatic artist’s most iconic works. This traveling exhibition, which has toured 18 cities globally, will bring more than 150 pieces of original and authenticated Banksy art to Wellington. The collection includes prints, canvases, unique works, and intriguing ephemera, all presented in Tākina’s expansive 1,300 square meter space.

Wellington, renowned for its vibrant street art scene and celebrated as the cultural capital of Aotearoa New Zealand, provides an ideal backdrop for this exhibition. The city’s dynamic creative community aligns perfectly with Banksy’s revolutionary and provocative art.

This presentation marks a significant cultural event for Wellington, reflecting the city’s ongoing commitment to celebrating and nurturing artistic excellence.
