An exhibition in Kuala Lumpur is showcasing the resilience and hope of Myanmar through contemporary art. The group show, titled Resilience In Shadows: Art Amidst Adversity, features the work of four Myanmar artists at the A+ Works of Art gallery until September 7.
The exhibition includes recent pieces by Than Kway Htay, Sandar Khaing, Kyu Kyu, and Thyitar. Each artist’s work reflects the complexity and depth of the human experience, with Kyu Kyu’s untitled wood installation from 2024 standing out for its intricate craftsmanship and profound depiction of the human form.
Curated by Kyel Sin Lin, CEO of the community-focused art company Coming From Kalaw in Myanmar, the exhibition offers a poignant glimpse into the artistic response to the challenges faced by the nation.
