VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) — On Thursday, September 12, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., the Valley City community is invited to participate in a mural painting event during Summer Vikes on Central.
Hosted by Valley City Tourism and Summer Vikes on Central, the event will offer residents a chance to contribute to a new community mural. Designed by a collective of local artists, the mural aims to enhance the vibrancy of Valley City, encourage artistic engagement, and celebrate the town’s unique offerings. More than just a visual piece, the mural represents community spirit and collaboration, with every brushstroke symbolizing the collective effort to build something meaningful together.
The mural project underscores the importance of community involvement, inviting both experienced artists and those new to painting to join in. Contributions from all participants help foster a sense of belonging and unity. Note that children under five must be accompanied by an adult.
Special thanks are extended to Dean and Dixie Sauer of Valley Officeworks for providing the north side of their office building for the mural and to Valley Service for allowing the use of their driveway for the event. Appreciation also goes to Mrs. Krueger and her art students from Valley City High School for their volunteer support in this project.
